CHICAGO, Ill -- The ink is barely dry on Decision 2012, and attention is already shifting to 2014.

Governor Quinn was asked about his plans earlier on Wednesday.

A reporter asked him “Does the campaign for Governor start today, and are you on that list?”

“Of course,” Quinn replied. “I am the Governor. So, we don't plan to change the title anytime soon."

During an unrelated event Wednesday in Chicago, reporters quizzed the 41st Governor on his political intentions. Rumors have been flying on who could challenge Quinn in 2014, but the Governor says the focus needs to be on the present and the challenges that we face now.

"Right now, I feel its time for practical and hardworking solutions at the state and federal levels,” said Quinn. “I think there will be plenty of time for campaigns when we go forward."

There are many rumors as to who could be Quinn's contenders in the gubernatorial race, including Attorney General Lisa Madigan, Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford, and Congressman Aaron Schock.
