SPRINGFIELD, Ill -- The Illinois Senate also unanimously passed the so-called "pole tax" bill Thursday.
The bill says strip clubs in the state will either pay a $3 fee per patron or agree to an increase in taxes.
The money generated will go to fund sexual assault treatment centers which have had their funding cut back in recent years.
The bill now goes to the Illinois house.
