REPORT: Chicago most corrupt city In the nation

CHICAGO -- Here are some numbers that could confirm what you might already suspect.

Illinois is the third-most corrupt state in the union, and Chicago is the most corrupt big city in the United States.

According to a report released by the University of Illinois, the U.S. Attorney's office in Chicago has won over 1500 convictions of politicians since 1976.

Statewide, the number is over 1800.

However, despite finishing second only to California and New York in raw numbers, Illinois is not the most corrupt state.

Louisiana had the most convictions per capita.
