Rutherford considering run for Governor

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- State Treasurer Dan Rutherford appears to be moving closer to entering the 2014 gubernatorial race.

On Sunday, Rutherford posted a question on his website and other social media platforms asking supporters to weigh on a possible run for governor.

On the site, Rutherford says "now is the time for leaders to act with conviction and courage".

Rutherford told the Chicago Tribune any decision on his plans would not come before the new year.
