CHICAGO, Ill. – Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Tio Hardiman is taking on Governor Pat Quinn in Tuesday’s primary election.
Hardiman is best known for his anti-violence work in Chicago, but does not have much of a following outside of Cook County.
Meanwhile, Governor Quinn punched his ballot Tuesday morning in Chicago and had a message for the rest of the state.
"I think it's really important that we make sure we have the very best democracy on planet earth,” Quinn said. “That we were the first democracy, we are the best. We want to continue to do that. And the best way to show that is to come out and vote.”
The latest polls have Governor Quinn winning the democratic spot by a landslide.
