PARIS, Ill. -- Bridge replacement work will result in lane reductions, beginning March 26.

The Illinois Department of Transportation said traffic on U.S. Route 136 will be controlled by temporary traffic signals and will also have a width restriction in place. Traffic on U.S. Route 51 will have one lane open to traffic during construction.

IDOT said the bridge will reopen to two-way traffic around November 30, 2012, weather permitting. The overall project is expected to be complete by spring 2013.

Motorists are advised to slow down and watch for road crews in this and every work zone.
