Starting Tuesday, September 20, access to and from IL 8 in East Peoria at Harmony Street will be closed to motorists.
Adjacent businesses at Howard Street will reopen prior to the closing.
IDOT says the associated project consists of construction of five lanes of concrete pavement, storm sewer, retaining walls, new sidewalks and new driveways from Oakwood Rd. to east of Sunrise Ave.
The roadway portion of the project is expected to be completed by November 15.
Please slow down and use extreme caution while driving through all work zones.
