PEORIA, Ill -- The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced Wednesday that access between IL 8 (Washington Road) and School Street to the north of the intersection with IL 8 in Washington will be closed for approximately one month, starting August 13.
Access to all businesses on School Street north of IL 8 will remain open via a marked detour route. Access will remain open at all times between IL 8 and School Street to the south.
The closure is associated with the project that is widening Washington Road to five lanes. The roadway portion of the project is expected to be completed in November 2013.
