PEORIA, Ill -- The Illinois Department of Transportation announced Monday that road construction work is under way at the interchange of IL 6 and IL 29 in Peoria County.
Work will consist of the removal and reconstruction of the ramp that carries traffic southbound to IL 6.
Crews are constructing crossovers that will detour traffic getting into southbound IL 6 while the project is being completed.
The project is expected to take about three months to complete.
