The town of Normal has issued several parking bans and road closures due to a Mitsubuishi commercial shoot.

Starting Tuesday, filming crews shot footage in several areas, including Garden Road, College Avenue, and Division Street.

On Wednesday, September 14, the following locations will be under temporary closures:

• Full road closure on North Street, from Fell to Broadway between 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Temporary no parking restrictions on North Street, from Broadway to the circle. These restrictions will be in effect from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Full road closure on North Street, from Broadway to Uptown Circle between 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Intermittent road closure on North, Beaufort and Constitution Boulevard around the Uptown Circle between 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Officials also warn residents and visitors that cars left on the street during the restricted times may be relocated to an adjacent street or public parking lot so that filming is not delayed.

Access to businesses will be maintained throughout the day. Visitors to the uptown area are encouraged to utilize the parking decks and surface parking lots in the area.

Residents or businesses with questions may call the Police Department at (309) 454-9535.
