DUNLAP, Ill. -- More than $8 million is heading to Dunlap for a major road project.

Governor Quinn said the money is part of the Illinois Jobs Now! construction program which aims to create jobs and propel the state's economy.

The money will go toward widening and resurfacing 3 miles of Route 91 from south of Legion Hall Road to north of Bike Trail in Dunlap.

The project will be overseen by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

No word on when construction will begin.
