NORMAL, Ill. -- Normal Parks and Recreation officials say vehicular traffic will not be able to access the back portion of Fairview Park, beginning Thursday, January 24.
That part of the park will be blocked off because an excavation group taking out the bridge across the creek.
Park officials say patrons may still reach the tennis courts and skate park by foot and by crossing the footbridge near the overflow parking lot west of the pool.
The work is expected to take several months.
