Road work is scheduled to begin on Veterans Parkway, starting September 15.
IDOT says weather permitting, pavement patching will occur on Veterans Parkway in the intersection of Illinois Route 9 and Market Street.
This location is just west of Interstate 55/74.
Work is expected to be complete November 15, 2011.
Motorists are advised to slow down, obey posted speed limits, be alert for workers and continue to drive carefully through this and all work zones.
