PEORIA, Ill -- Water main repair will result in the closure of the two southbound lanes of Main Street, between Adams and Washington, starting 7 a.m. Friday, June 22.
Those lanes are expected to reopen to traffic by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3.
The Office of Public Works recommends motorists wishing to travel south toward the river use Hamilton Boulevard from Adams Street.
