PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria Area Association of Realtors is working to help connect tornado victims with emergency housing.

PAAR has asked the developers of to assist by providing their website designed to organize available rental properties in the Greater Peoria area.

Many landlords have already agreed to accept short-term, as well as longer-term leases, for affected residents.

- Landlords are encouraged to enter properties for rent on the NestRent website.

- NestRent has waived the requirement for a listing contract with a Realtor and the landlord can enter the property themselves – pictures are not required.

- Many property managers and agents have supplied PAAR with information regarding properties. They are requested to please go to and enter the details.

- Displaced homeowners are encouraged to contact a Realtor to assist them with housing needs, or go directly to the NestRest website to search for rental properties.

- Properties with future vacancies – even 30 to 60 days from now – can be added to the website.
