Postal Service works to get mail to displaced residents

November 20, 2013 Updated Nov 20, 2013 at 4:18 PM CDT

The Postal Service is asking displaced residents to file a temporary address change so that they can continue to receive their mail.

Post office officials said it has been hard for many residents to get to the Washington post office to pick up their mail.

They said displaced residents can visit ANY post office or usps.com to file a temporary change of address form. That way their mail can be delivered to wherever they are staying.
