WASHINGTON, Ill. -- Looting is becoming a concern among residents in tornado ravaged areas.
Michael Perdun of Washington said the EF-4 twister ripped apart his home, leaving one standing wall. On it hung an undamaged flat screen television.
"The next day it was gone, along with my son's XBOX, a blue-ray player and my camera,” Perdun said. “That was all in the basement in my son's room. Everything in the basement was in tact and fine, so it wasn’t blown out or anything like that."
Perdun said he told police about the incident, and will file a formal report. Police have enforced curfews in damaged areas to reduce the chances of looting.
