Two Charged With Prostitution in Normal

NORMAL, Ill. -- The Normal Police Department Vice Unit has arrested two women in connection with an alleged prostitution ring.

On Wednesday, June 22nd detectives served two search warrants as a result of an investigation into alleged prostitution at Macau Massage located at 211 Landmark Drive and Golden Spa located at 1537 Fort Jesse Road in Normal.

Police arrested 55 year-old Wenjuan Li and 53 year-old So Hui Arce on charges of keeping a place of prostitution and prostitution within 1000 feet of a school.

Because the alleged prostitution took place within 100 feet of a school, the charges were upgraded to felonies.

Both were ordered held on three thousand dollar cash bonds each.

A third woman who was taken into custody on Wednesday was not charged on Friday.
