PEORIA, Ill. -- There is a special aircraft taking people around the skies this weekend, and the good news is, every seat is a window seat.
You can take a trip back in time on a restored 1929 Ford Tri-motor aircraft from the early days of commercial travel. The Experimental Aircraft Association, or EAA, is taking people up and touring them around the area. While the plane is part of American aviation history, it is also is about how it handles.
Volunteer pilot Rand Siegfried said, "I love sharing this history with people, It's an awful a lot of fun to fly. It's very forgiving, she's a graceful old lady"
The plane is in Peoria Friday and Sunday, and flying people around in Pekin on Saturday. The cost of the flight is $80.
