Burger Barge in East Peoria to open 2nd location

EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- Calling all burger lovers: a popular burger joint in East Peoria has announced it's opening another location.

The Burger Barge hopes to open its doors in June at the old VFW Hall on Meadows Avenue.

The restaurant's owner, Gigi Irwin, said planning for the new 9,000 square foot restaurant is still in its preliminary stages.

It will feature a more family-type atmosphere including an arcade, serving ice cream, and root beer for the first time in 10 years.
