Santa managed to make an early visit to the Hotel Pere Marquette this afternoon.

About 300 people attended the ninth annual Christmas Magic luncheon around noon today.

The event featured numerous activities from a silent auction for adults to magic tricks for the kids.

Guests could also get pictures with Santa.

Proceeds from the lunch go to Peoria's Family House.

"It's a very special day for parents and children alike, their first opportunity to really spend some time with santa at a luncheon, and we try to make it as special for them as possible, so that they have great memories, and so we do have a lot of repeat people that come back year after year," said Peggy Murphy, Exec. Director of Family House.

Family House is a hospitality house, open year round, that provides families a place to stay, while their family receives care at nearby hospitals.
