The Third District Illinois Appellate court has ruled against Stephen Chromik, the one-time Metamora soccer coach sent to prison on aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges.

His lawyers had argued that the trial judge had erred, that evidence of a previous assault conviction was improperly introduced, and that a series of text messages between himself and the 16 year old female victim was improperly characterized.

Appellate judges rejected all aspects of Chromik's appeal.

Chromik is serving a four year prison term..and is due to be paroled on June.
