A tip to Crime Stoppers led to the arrest of a man in Pekin Thursday afternoon who authorities had been after for two weeks.
Jason McGlothlin was subdued by police just before 2 pm after trying to hide in the attic of apartment 4-D on the 1200 block of North Florence.
Authorities say McGlothlin is not a resident at the address. He was wanted for parole violation and a felony drug charge.
"We received a Crime Stopper tip about 9:30 (Thursday morning) that there was a subject wanted on a number of warrants," said Pekin Deputy Police Chief Dennis Franks.
"We confirmed that there was a very high likelyhood that he was at the apartment. With the assistance of the Tazewell County Sheriff's Department, Peoria County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Marshall's Fugitive Task Force we were able to enter the apartment and subsequently located the person hiding in an attic."
Police searched the apartment for about 30 minutes before finding McGlothlin. Once subdued he did not resist arrest.
