After six months of negotiations, more than 600 District 150 workers may finally have a new contract.

At tonight's meeting school board members are expected to approve a three year contract with the local 6099, a decision that's accompanied by some controversy.

The local 6099 represents more than 600 clerical, cafeteria and other district-employees.

Last spring the group found itself at the center of some controversy.

In April of 2010, district officials discovered 10 clerical workers at the administration office had mistakenly received size-able raises.

The error amounted to a loss of more than 84-thousand dollars for District 150. District officials said the mistake was a mystery to them.
The raises were immediately rescinded.

We will have more on this story following tonight's meeting.
