District 150 Superintendent up for contract extension

PEORIA, Ill. -- Next Monday, District 150 School Board members will be taking a mini-referendum on Superintendent Dr. Grenita Lathan.

The Board is being asked to approve a four-year contract extension for the Superintendent, starting July 1st.

Lathan still has a year to go on her original three-year agreement with District 150. The Board is also being asked to approve a "performance-based" pay hike for Dr. Lathan.

She was hired at a salary of $198,000 a year in 2010. The School Board agenda does not indicate how much money is involved, but does say it's for the current school year.
