Icy roads may have played a part in a fatal crashes on Kickapoo Creek Road Saturday evening in Peoria County.

Authorities say 26 year old Lena Mogged was driving South on Kickapoo Creek road when her vehicle went down a snowy embankment hitting trees and crushing the roof.

Mogged was pronounced dead at the scene but authorities say her two young sons were conscious as they were taken to a hospital.

Employees at the Tri-County Urban League, where Mogged had taken a GED course say she was a very like able person.

"She was one who always had a smile on her face, she was bubbly, nice personality, one who's definitely approachable and didn't mind talking and interacting with staff members and other students." said Virgil Marshall, who knew Mogged.

No word yet on the condition of her son, 8 year old Kentell, but OSF says Anthony was discharged Sunday.

Urban League officials say Mogged also participated in a parenting program at the agency.
