In Pekin, Mayor Rusty Dunn announced Thursday that the city is in discussions with Frank Mackaman to serve as interim City Manager.

Mackaman would replace Denny Kief, who recently announced his retirement after 26 years with the City.

Mackaman is the Director of the Dirksen Congressional Center, and served a stint as Mayor.

According to the Mayor, Mackaman is working with City staff to draft an employment agreement which the Council will act upon at its next meeting.
