Powerful winds cause semi truck turnovers (with photos)

PEORIA, Ill. -- Authorities say that high winds may have caused a pair of semi turnovers on Tuesday.

Morton police responded to I-74 East near the Morton exit at 11:15 am. No injuries were reported and no citations have been issued.

Crews were able to right side the truck and clear the scene by 12:30 pm.

The second accident occured at 3 pm. Authorities say that the second accident happened at I-474 by the Farmington Road exit.

Traffic was reduced to one lane in both the eastbound and westbound
lanes.

Crews have mostly been able to clean up the mess, but still warn motorists to be careful. The truck was hauling grain and authorities anticipate that the grain still on the ground could attract deer.
