Jurors were shown graphic photos of the battered remains of Melisa Cleary Friday during the murder trial of her husband Daniel Cleary.

While the forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy on Cleary gave testimony about her injuries... Daniel Cleary covered his eyes for over 20 minutes.

There was also testimony from a Tazewell County detective which seemed to contradict statements by Melisa Cleary's mother regarding where Daniel Cleary slept the night before her daughter's body was found.

Sergeant Hal Harper said Cleary told him he slept on the family's couch. But Cleary's mother-in-law, Jean Coon, told authorities Daniel Cleary told her-- he and his wife slept in the same bed.

The trial will continue next week.
