A Livingston County jury has convicted a Cullom man of trying to hire a hit man to kill his ex-wife and her boyfriend last summer.

Shan Fieldman was arrested in July of last year, after police say he met with an undercover state police trooper posing as a hitman.

Fieldman was, according to authorities, trying to arrange the killings of his ex-wife Shelly and her boyfriend.

The jury heard video of the exchange between the officer and Fieldman Monday, and Tuesday the officer testified before the case was sent to the jury.

The jury got the case about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon, and deliberated a short time before returning a guilty verdict.

In January, Fieldman's girlfriend, 30-year-old Talia Fonce, was found guilty of soliciation of murder and sentenced to prison for 35 years.
