Students and faculty at Limestone High School gathered for a kick off assembly Wednesday morning for their annual Easter Seals fundraising campaign.

The campaign began as Easter Seals week, it has now been extended to a full two weeks of events including a teeter-totter-a-thon, fashion show, and much more.

Limestone senior Katie Hines says this year's campaign is already off to a positive start, "It's our opening assembly and we have the families they come and speak they'll talk about their families and all the struggles they've been through and then we have...we say all our kickoff donations which we've already raised $5,000 before our actual opening
assembly."

Over the past 35 years, Limestone High School has raised more than $500,000 for Easter Seals.
