A Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin man munches his way to an amazing milestone.
Don Gorske ate his 25,000th Big Mac during a special ceremony at a McDonald's Tuesday afternoon.
Gorske began consuming Big Macs exactly 39-years ago. This kind of record keeping is, as it turns out, typical for Gorske.
He says he usually eats two sandwiches every day and has only missed eight days since 1972. Gorske says he probably has an obsessive-compulsive disorder and likes repetition. He says he carefully documented his consumption and kept many of the burger boxes and receipts.
"I guess most people like variety. I do not care for variety. I really like eating the same thing everyday. What can beat eating your favorite food everyday? And that's the way I look at it. What would I eat instead? I don't have that dilemma. I can eat my favorite food everyday." Gorske.
The 57-year old Gorske says on the day he first ate a big mac --may 17, 1972 -- he actually ate a total of nine.
