British lawn-mower racing season is at hand again.

Ideal for the person who loves tinkering with their Toro... some of these machines can now hit sixty miles an hour in a straight line.

But since the dirt tracks aren't straight...or smooth...thank kind of speed is best left to the law-mower drag racers.

Yes, there are drag racing lawn mowers, but that's another story.

At this weekend's race in in the English village of
Billingshurst, the weather had been so dry that the track had to be hosed to keep the dust down. That didn't work all that well.

For those of you just itching to see what kind of power you get from a Cub Cadet, there are three categories: traditional lawnmowers with a seat attached,.mowers that look like buggies and traditional riding lawnmowers.

For obvious reasons...the blades had been removed...
