A motorcyclist is sent to the hospital following an early evening crash.
Police say the driver, headed north on Peoria's Sterling Avenue was driving too fast for conditions Monday evening when he ran a red light at the intersection of Sterling and Scenic.
Police say he then rear-ended a car turning out of the Walgreen's parking lot.
Upon impact, the motorcycle flipped up, and landed on top of over the vehicle.
The names of the both drivers are not being released.
The driver of the car was unharmed.
The motorcyclist was taken to OSF St. Francis Medical Center with injuries.
His condition was unknown Monday night.
