PEORIA,Ill. -- A Peoria man is behind bars tonight after pulling a gun on his girlfriend Wednesday when she refused to drive him to meet his parole officer.
24 year old Raymone Bond was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery, Unlawful Restraint, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and No Valid FOID card.
According to police, Bond wanted a ride to see his parole officer, but his girlfriend, 21 year old Ronaye Sales, wouldn't give him one.
Bond then pulled a handgun on Sales, pointed it at her, and threatened to kill her as she held her two children.
Sales was eventually able to escape the residence and call police from a neighbor's house.
Bond was taken into custody after he surrendered to police in the front yard of the residence. Police recovered the weapon hidden in the basement.
Bond is currently being held in the Peoria County Jail.
