The Bloomington Police Department has teamed up with the McLean County Sheriff's Department in solving a string of gas station robberies.
Bloomington Police released this surveillance photograph of the suspect taken at the Shell gas station (located at 2401 E. Oakland Avenue, Bloomington) during a robbery early Sunday morning.
The suspect is described as 5' 6" to 6 feet in height with a thin build. He was wearing a dark hood, camouflaged pants and jacket (displaying an American flag patch on the right shoulder) and white tennis shoes.
The suspect's description is similar to a second robbery that took place early Monday morning at the BP gas station located at 2444 S. Main, Bloomington.
In both robberies, the suspect implied a weapon.
The McLean County Sheriff's Department believes the suspect may also be involved in two similar incidents at the the Freedom Oil station at U.S. 150 and Towanda Barnes Road in rural McLean County on October 1st and 8th.
