PEORIA, Ill. -- The whos whos of Peoria's Leadership was at the Civic Center Thursday night for the Tri-County Regional Planning commission meeting in order to establish a steering committee that will identify key areas of growth.

Earlier this summer that group published a report criticizing the work of Heartland Partnership.

That report calls for the restructuring of both the Heartland Partnership and the Economic Development Council.

In addition, News 25/HOI 19 has confirmed through multiple sources that the head of the Heartland Partnership, Jim McConoughey will be resigning.

Over 200 local government and economic development leaders as well as heads of the private sector are expected to attend the meeting.
