PEORIA, Ill. -- As President Obama tries to drum up support for a possible military strike against Syria, one member of Congress wants answers.
Illinois Democratic congresswoman Cheri Bustos said she feels the U.S. should not sit back and do nothing, but she also wants international support and a goal in mind.
"We got to make sure that we start with the end in mind. So if we do something, what are our goals and how are we going to make sure we don't have civilian casualties, and what do we want to make sure we accomplish? Those are a lot of the questions I have as a member of congress," said Bustos, (D) 17th District.
Republican congressman Aaron Schock said he will give great weight to the President's plan and case he makes to Congress before he votes on the U.S. using military force.
