Multi-car accident snarls traffic on 1-74

PEORIA, Ill. -- Westbound traffic on Interstate 74 came to a crawl Thursday due to a multi-car crash just after the Jefferson street overpass.

The accident occurred just after 5:00 p.m.

Traffic was reduced to one lane until the scene was cleared around 6:00 p.m.

At this time, there are no reports of injuries or citations to any of the drivers.
