Murder Suspect Arrested

A suspect wanted for homicide has been taken into custody.

Peoria police say they arrested 23-year-old Dominick M. Sanders Thursday.

Sanders, considered armed and dangerous at the time, eluded police after a May 16, 2010 shooting left one injured and another dead.

Investigators traced Sanders to Green Diamond Apartments and executed a search warrent for his arrest.

Sanders is currently being held in the Peoria County Jail.

Also arrested were 27-year-old Dontarrius L. Foote and 26-year-old Shanika D. Wells for Harboring/Concealing a Fugitive.
