The General Wayne A. Downing International Airport's new terminal opened its doors for tours for the first time tonight.
After nearly two years of renovations, the new 65-million dollar terminal, next to the existing one, is nearly complete.
It is twice the size with 12 gates that can accommodate one million flyers a year.
The airport's director says one of the areas passengers will notice the biggest change is security.
"A lot of the security function was designed into this building and it was shoe horned into the old building because we didn't really have a place for it. So that is going to be a lot more efficient. The general decor, the openness, the airiness of the building, people will notice it right away," Gene Olson, Airport Director.
The new terminal is open to the public for tours tomorrow from 11 a.m. To 4 p.m.
It is expected to open by March 1.
