EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- The city of East Peoria is giving residents a new voice.

It's called Access East Peoria. The web and smart phone app allows residents to report issues to the city ranging from potholes, to suspicious activity. It also makes it easier for the city to get in touch with you.

"Say there's a water main break, and it effects a certain area of East Peoria, we can send a message out to people who are subscribed to this service, who live in that area, rather than putting it out city wide," East Peoria spokesman Jill Peterson said.

Access East Peoria is free, and works with Android, Apple and Blackberry devices.
