No injuries in North Peoria fire

PEORIA, Ill -- Explosions rang out in one Peoria neighborhood Tuesday night, according to one Peoria resident.

The Peoria Fire Department responded to a garage fire at 1730 Tiffany Court. Battalion Chief Keith Wagner says It took crews less than ten minutes to get the blaze under control, but extensive damage was done to the structure of the garage.

The attached house seemed to have little damage. Wagner said no one was inside of the structure when crews arrived.

The occupants were identified as Tom and Melanie Butts.

Damage is estimated to cost $150,000.

The cause is still under investigation.

The Red Cross has been notified to assist the Butts family.
