If you're looking for an activity where you can stay warm on Saturday, why not check out the Pekin Area Business Expo at the Avanti's Dome.

Over 75 local businesses began setting up their booths Friday for the event which takes place Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm.

The Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce says about 3,000 people turned out for last year's expo introducing many of them to new businesses and services.

"It's a way for Pekin to showcase its businesses," said Jamie DiDonato of the Pekin Arean Chamber of Commerce. "There are a lot of people out there that don't know of certain businesses that are in Pekin. This is a way to get all of the businesses into one place and to share what they have to offer in one spot."

In addition to the displays and product demonstrations there's also an entertainment stage, activities for the kids from fun on the run, and over 30 door prizes.

This is the 6th year the Avanti's Dome has hosted the Pekin Business Expo and admission is free.
