A 60-year-old Peoria man remains held in connection with last night's stabbing death of 32-year-old Seneca Davis.

Davis was found inside 1604 S. Westmoreland Avenue about 9-30 last evening.

Authorities say he died of a single stab wound to the chest.

Police arrested the resident of the address, 60-year old William Eugene Gary last night.

Tuesday afternoon, an assistant State's Attorney said no decision had been made on formal charges.

Seneca Davis had just been released from the Peoria County a week earlier, after serving a 30-day sentence for possession of cannabis.

Davis is the third homicide victim of this year.
