With School Funding being cut Richwoods High School is getting creative in their attempt to raise money to repair their tennis courts.
The High School applied for a grant from Pepsi and they have been chosen as a finalist a 50 thousand dollar grant.

The school would use the money to repair cracks in the courts as well as replace the worn surface and metal fences.

The School needs to be a top ten vote getter in the online competition to receive the money. Richwoods Tennis Coach Patty Shaw says if the School wins, then the whole community wins.

Richwoods Tennis Coach Patty Shaw said, "It isn't something that you'd just be doing for Richwoods, you would be doing it for the park district lessons that are affordable for kids and adults to learn tennis. And for free public play.So we'd love to have everyone voting as often as you can vote."

You can vote by going to our website CentralIllinoisNewsCenter.com and clicking on the link to the Pepsi Refresh everything grants. Voting continues through the end of the month.
