A group of women are taking steps to warm childrens' hearts.
They are making blankets that will be distributed TO children at local hospitals and CrittenTon Crisis Nursery.
Members of Project Linus say the warm blankets will help bring comfort to sick kids.

"Unfortunately even though I give almost 80 blankets a month the need is greater than what I can supply. There is just so many unfortunate sick children taken to the hospitals," said Barbara Shiverdecker.

The local "Project Linus" chapter has given out more than 5-thousand blankets since 2005.
