Superintendent Ticketed with DUI and Hospitalized

The Superintendent of the Regional Office of Education 17 was ticketed for driving under the influence and hospitalized, following a single vehicle crash Monday night.

Mark Jontry was traveling on Oakland Avenue last night, when his vehicle left the roadway.

Jontry was transported from OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington to OSF St. Francis in Peoria. His condition is unknown at this time.

Formal DUI charges are still pending. The Regional Office of Education 17 works with Dewitt, Livingston and McLean county schools, both private and public.
