It was a scene out of Santa's workshop in North Peoria Saturday, and it was all for a good cause.

This year the Crittenton Center has its annual 'Stocking Stuffer Shop' stationed near Old Navy at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie.

This weekend, kids can do much more than just shop for loved ones.

They can also visit Santa, decorate Christmas cookies, and even pet live reindeer.

Organizers say the extra attractions bring much needed attention to the 'Stocking Stuffer Shop.'

"A lot of these kids have never seen reindeer before, so for them to be live is just awesome, so we're really excited for them to have such an opportunity to touch them, to feed them, and yes we've been very busy," said Special Events Co-ordinator, Jennifer Simmons. "We're expecting a very busy weekend for Crittenton."

The 'Stocking Stuffer Shop', reindeer and all, is open at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie until 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
