Rural Peoria County house fire draws multiple fire departments

PEORIA, Ill. -- Limestone firefighters were forced to call for mutual aid from multiple area fire departments Wednesday night, to help battle a blaze in rural Peoria County.

The fire started on the back deck of the home located at 1913 N. Norwood Boulevard around 7 p.m. Wednesday, before spreading to the house.

The elderly homeowners were able to escape and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
